a resolution worth reading

As the year comes to a close, I realize how right my parents really were, “life moves fast”. The reality is between work, play, kids, sleep, and everything else that comes with the busyness of life; there is no time to look back. Where we get the time to sit down and pay bills is beyond me but, for most of us, the lights are still on so, it seems we are getting the bills paid on time with some regularity.

The challenge is; how many of us actually review the bills at our office for accuracy before we pay them? For example, when was the last time you looked to see how much you are paying at the office for long distance? Have you taken a look at your telecom spend recently and compared it to current market rates? Where would one even start to look for errors on their bill?

It is important to review your bill for accuracy from time to time to make certain nothing has changed. Even if you are in a contract, it is important to audit your bill no less than every 18 months to make certain you have the right product(s) for the right price.

With the realization that in the telecommunications space there are literally hundreds of providers, where does one start? What are your options? What is a good rate? In a down economy, what providers are financially stable? The real question is, why would you invest your time finding all of these answers when you can hire a telecom broker to manage this for you?

With little investment in time, take the last few weeks of the year to call a telecom managed services provider and allow them to review your network and the associated spend. If you find the right provider, they will review your; voice, data, internet, long distance, phone system, mobile phone bills at no cost.

Wouldn’t it be great to start the year by saving some money, or better yet, being more efficient at the office? Go for it, you have nothing to lose!
